Scout dialogue

What they say when you try to persuade them to join; it ends in success or failure.

Standard conversation
  1. Did you come looking for me?
  2. Eyewitness accounts of a blue flame are spreading across the New Continent. Could you share that power with us?
  3. I absolutely hate being confined anywhere, though?
  4. I have absolutely no intention of confining you. However, since that flame is vital to saving the world, I threw shame aside and came to find you.
  5. Aren't you overestimating me? I'm just playing around while doing magic!
✓ Persuaded

“But saving the world... it sounds like it could be kind of fun. Alright! I'll do it!”

✕ Refused

“You're talking grandly, but in the end, you're just trying to make me do something. I'll pass.”

“That was not my intention. I will look forward to the day we can be together again.”

Special lines with Mertis
  1. What's the matter?
  2. You're an interesting child. To think there is a human who can create an ultra-high temperature blue flame with just magic.
  3. Well. If that's your purpose, I won't just let it slide! Underestimate me, and you'll pay dearly!
  4. What a bold child. I like you even more for it. Why don't you experience real magic with me? It sounds like it would be fun.
✓ Persuaded

“Alright. I'm not really interested in you, but your magic seems to have some pretty interesting aspects!”

✕ Refused

“Are you saying the magic I've done until now is fake? Stop bragging! It doesn't sound fun, so I'll decline.”

Special lines with Russell
  1. Are you interested in me?
  2. Rather than interest, should I call it curiosity? How on earth do you create that mysterious blue light?
✓ Persuaded

“Alright. It doesn't seem bad. I'm accepting it because it doesn't seem like you're lying!”

“Same here. Let's do well.”

Special lines with Winona
  1. Do you have business with me?
  2. I came looking for a kindred spirit after hearing rumors. I heard you've also drawn attention since you were young, just like me.
  3. If it's that kind of attention, it's annoying. I just did what I wanted to do, and people just find it fascinating.
  4. I'm not interested in your magic, I'm interested in you. I think there are stories I can share with you.
  5. Because there was a time when the attention I got as a child was overwhelming for me too. There must be something we can relate to.
✓ Persuaded

“Sure. It might be okay. I think it's the first time I've seen someone say they're interested in me rather than my magic. I like it.”
