    Scout dialogue

What they say when you try to persuade them to join; it ends in success or failure.

    Standard conversation
    1. Do you have business with me?
    2. I came to ask for your power. With cold capable of freezing everything and bringing even movement to a halt, I believe we can turn the current situation around.
    3. Surely you don't mistake my power for a mere winter breeze? Anyone who comes too close will freeze before they can draw their final breath.
    4. I came precisely because I know how powerful you are. I'm confident this will be interesting enough to make you forget even the boredom of an endless winter, if only for a while.
    5. You claim you can relieve my boredom? How confident. And how do you intend to prove those aren't empty boasts?
    ✓ Persuaded

“Fine. I'll see for myself whether your words are true. But if this turns out to be something trivial, you'll be the first one I freeze.”

“You won't regret it. Let's see for ourselves just how much your deadly cold can change.”

    ✕ Refused

“I understand. Then I'll return someday, when even that frozen heart might finally be moved.”

    1. What are you looking at?
    2. I was observing the flow of cold energy around us. Your power is fierce, but it doesn't scatter unnecessarily.
    3. You seem to have been watching my power quite closely. Unfortunately, I'm not particularly interested in yours. If you're finished, would you mind leaving?
    4. I thought we'd get along more easily than this, but apparently not. It doesn't matter, though. What I need right now isn't kindness, but power.
    5. And why should I act according to your needs? You were mistaken to think I'd simply go along with you. If that's what you're asking, there's no point in hearing any more.
    ✓ Persuaded

“But as it happens, I was getting bored. I'll see for myself what you intend to use my power for. Just remember, I'm acting entirely of my own free will. Don't mistake this for me doing you a favor.”

“That's fine. Whatever your reasons for acting, all that matters to me is getting the result I want.”

    ✕ Refused

“Not interested. I have no desire to waste my strength and time on something pointless.”

“Fine, it can't be helped. I won't beg you. Just don't regret it later.”

    1. What do you want from me?
    2. I need your cooperation for a dangerous mission. My goal is to prevent any further sacrifices.
    3. I'm not asking you to obey me blindly. I'll respect your judgment, but we must each fulfill our assigned roles.
    4. What if my power is far more dangerous than you expect? Would you still say that if even your comrades were frozen solid?
    5. Then I'll prepare even more thoroughly. I'll position my comrades beyond the reach of your cold, and I'll take responsibility for any risks that arise. Please, trust me just this once.
    ✓ Persuaded

“All right. But if things go wrong, I'll handle the situation my own way.”

    ✕ Refused

“I'll decline. I wonder whether you'll be able to maintain that composure when my freezing power is unleashed.”

“It seems I haven't earned your trust. I'll prepare thoroughly enough to convince you and return.”

    1. Do you need something from me?
    2. Yes... I came because I want to join you. I wield the power of cold as well, so I believe I can withstand your power better than most people...
    3. You think you can withstand my cold? The chill surrounding your body is impressive, but I wonder whether you'll truly be able to endure it.
    4. I'm still afraid of this power myself... But if I remain afraid forever, I'll never be able to move forward.
    5. If we combine our strength, perhaps we can transform our cold powers into something even greater.
    ✕ Refused

“I refuse. Even if our powers are similar, they might only interfere with each other when they collide.”

“I see... But someday, I hope to show you that my cold power can be of help to you.”
